Had & lost my dream job in my 20s, struggled through my 30s, got my master's degree at 40 and now work a new dream job with an amazing team.
I'm an experienced career changer that has found my way to the role of high school counselor. I'm fortunate in that my job allows me to do something I truly enjoy - help teenagers form their college and/or career plans.
The best part about my role is that it allows me to frequently use the skills I acquired and perfected in my previous careers - which I wasn't sure would have much practical use in my current position. My writing, design and communication training come in handy on a regular basis.
In my spare time, I help professionals navigate their career transitions as a career and college readiness coach.
