Following an MBA degree in 198 , Heather built a market research business which continues to be a going concern. In 2005, she moved into a business consulting practice with Revenue Management Ltd, Her objective has been to help organizations use insight and data to make better decisions.
Over the past 30 years, Heather has applied metrics and strategy for a wide range of public and private sector clients in the consumer, commercial, industrial, government and professional services markets. She has worked extensively throughout North America and conducted on-line research in 7 languages throughout Europe and Asia.
Her clients include organizations in energy, telecommunications, food and beverage, law, insurance and economic development. She has used her experience to develop and present marketing, research and metrics seminars for clients in the public and private sectors, as well as in teaching marketing management and marketing research courses in the Commerce department at Saint Mary's University, and in both the Commerce and MBA departments at Dalhousie University.
Long experience with measurement for decision making and management has led her to develop the BMIQ (Business Model IQ) and CMIQ (Customer/Client Mindset Inquiry) to help organizations score their internal and external strengths and weaknesses. The objective is to better position to organizations to seize opportunities and reduce vulnerability to competition and disruption. Following an analysis of the current business, business model strategies are identified and integrated for greater traction in the market.
